Granola

Why settle for the one or two kinds of cereal that the supermarket can provide, when you can have this delicious, filling granola in less than half an hour? If you have a sesame allergy, you can substitute chopped sunflower seeds.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups oats

  • 1/3 cup pumpkin seeds, finely chopped

  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds

  • 1/4 cup apple juice

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

  • 2 tablespoons canola oil

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup raisins

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350˚F.

  • Combine first seven ingredients (oats through cinnamon).

  • Spread on a greased cookie sheet.

  • Bake 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

  • When cool, combine with raisins.

Variation

Substitute fresh peaches or berries for raisins when in season.
