Go Vegan

Cancer’s pretty scary, heart attacks too
High blood pressure and cholesterol are bad for you
We can live in fear and worry that our dying day is near
Or melt away those silly threats and grin from ear to ear

We watch other people decaying, it surely seems like fate
Until we understand that they’ve all made the same mistake
Poisoning their bodies with things things that don’t belong
Which is why it’s time to sing this very healthy song

There’s never been a better time
You don’t need any other reason
To go Vegan

Forests are disappearing, the ocean life too
Our topsoil is diminishing day by day
Fresh water is depleting, global warming is getting worse
Extinction is running rampant now we feel like our own curse

Did you know that the water to make one pound of chicken can bathe you for two months
One pound of pork, four months and beef an entire year
We can spare ourselves and children from the cause of all this waste
By switching to the habits that brighten every day

There’s never been a better time
You don’t need any other reason
To go Vegan

Our children and grandchildren will thank you oh so much
For having the good sense to make a change
By giving them an example with crystal clarity
Of sparing God’s innocent children of a fate that need not be

You see Mutilation is ugly, Murder is too
Being skinned alive is quite obscene
It’s easy to let it happen when you don’t have to see
You can pretend it doesn’t matter because you don’t hear their screams

Mother’s crying for their babies, babies crying for their lives
It’s a terrible crime to pay someone for someone else's life
There’s never been a better time
You don’t need any other reason
There’s never been a better place
It’s easier than ever to begin
So go Vegan
